Alejandro J. (Alex) García, began his movie career by writing movie review for the Radnorite. He also spent most of his free time in Radnor's TV Studio working on Channel 16 News, under teacher Jim Talone, and with fellow students Matt Tomlin and Aileen Gallagher. He began the first movie review segment on the show, called García's Ratings.
Radnor graduate Hall-of-Famer and USC alum Randal Kleiser (director of the movie Grease), and worked as his assistant for a year post-graduation. He then first worked with director Bryan Singer as his assistant on X2: X-MEN UNITED. Alex Garcia is now Senior Vice President, Creative Affairs at Legendary Pictures. Since joining the Company in 2009, he has served as Executive Producer on the Bryan Singer-directed JACK THE GIANT SLAYER, and is currently doing the same for Legendary’s take on the classic GODZILLA franchise, as well as an upcoming thriller directed by Michael Mann and starring Chris Hemsworth. Alex is also supervising development on Legendary projects including MASS EFFECT, GRAVEL, and HOT WHEELS, among others.
Prior to his time at Legendary, Alex ran Bryan Singer’s Bad Hat Harry Productions. He served as executive in charge of production on the first three seasons of Fox and NBC Universal’s hugely successful TV series HOUSE, M.D. He was also co-executive producer of the 2005 hit Sci-Fi Channel miniseries, THE TRIANGLE, overseeing production on location in South Africa, and executive produced the 2007 horror feature TRICK ‘R TREAT. Ale also worked with Singer on his directorial efforts, including VALKYRIE and SUPERMAN RETURNS.
